Individual Therapy

Who do you work with?

I have worked with a wide variety of adults and adolescents for over 7 years.  I have worked with bankers, lawyers, and parents as well as artists, musicians, and entrepreneurs. Many of my clients come to me to help them with their relationships to others and also to themselves; often this looks like bettering your relationship with sex, food, unwanted habits, and work. Many of my clients struggle with perfectionism and the stress of high pressure careers.

What is your fee?

Fees are discussed when we connect for a free consultation. I allot 20% of my practice at all times for people on a sliding scale basis, which is determined by your income. If my sliding scale spaces are full, I will refer you to a therapist or clinic that will be able to help you. I do not take insurance but if you have out of network benefits you maybe eligible for up to 90% coverage. You can determine your benefits by calling your insurance company or heading to Headway’s lookup tool.

How long are your sessions?

Sessions are 45 minutes long and occur on a weekly basis. I see some clients on a more frequent basis and other clients every other week.

What are your specialities?

I have specialized training in treating issues around sexual addiction and problematic sexual behavior including with people who have been arrested and are court mandated to therapy. Currently I see a wide range of clients who come to therapy for a variety of reasons including depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, and isolation. I tend to work best with people who are perfectionistic and hard on themselves and others—if this sounds like you, book a free consultation with me here.

Couples Therapy

What can I expect from couples therapy?

I am trained in Emotionally-Focused Couples Psychotherapy which means that our goal will to be to uncover what patterns you each are repeating—often without even being aware of it. The goal of EFT and couples therapy generally is to provide a safe space for both partners to first understand their deeper feelings and then learn how to express those feelings in healthier ways.

How long does it last?

Couples tend to stay in therapy for shorter periods of time than individuals do, though everyone is different. Some couples leave therapy after a few sessions, others stay for 6 months-1 year. We will have an idea of our goals by the end of the first session. Sessions are approximately one hour and usually held once per week.

Do you see other kinds of partners?

Absolutely! Whatever your relationship is, I’m here to help.
